Resident Responsibilities

As a Promise Homes resident, you play an important role in maintaining the quality and appearance of your home and our community. To ensure a positive living experience for everyone, residents are responsible for:

• Purchasing and maintaining renters’ insurance
• Maintaining the home’s interior and exterior in clean and sanitary condition
• Performing minor repairs as needed, such as unclogging drains, replacing light bulbs, and fixing screens
• Clean gutters and roof
• Changing lightbulbs
• Changing HVAC Filters seasonally
• Replacing batteries in smoke detector
• DO NOT flush the following items: baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, body wipes, diapers, teddy bears, toy soldiers, rags, etc.
• Mowing lawn and raking leaves and trimmings
• Trimming bushes and plants 18” away from the house and the HVAC unit
• Disposing fallen limbs (all limbs 4’’ or less in diameter)

Please submit a maintenance request if any larger issues that require professional attention.
